California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010

Panera respects human rights and is committed to lawful, ethical and fair business practices in our business and in our supply chain. We comply with all applicable local, state, federal and international laws. Our standard food and packaging supplier agreement requires full compliance with all applicable laws, which include applicable labor, human rights, slavery and human trafficking laws. We ask our food and packaging suppliers to certify compliance with these laws in the countries in which they do business. Panera may verify a supplier’s compliance through announced or unannounced audits, and may terminate any vendor relationship if the supplier does not cooperate with audit requests and/or if issues of noncompliance are found. Panera does not currently require third-party verification or specific employee or contractor trainings.
